IPCrypt Client secures IP connections between computer systems in an IP based network. IPCrypt Client can be used for LANs, WANs and the Internet. Workstations and notebooks use IPCrypt Client in combination with Elkey CryptCard CompuSec or as autonomous software module to enable network encryption.
The solution
IPCryptClient was developed to secure IP connections between computer systems in an IP-based network. IPCrypt Client can be used for LANs, WANs and the Internet.
Workstations and notebooks use IPCrypt Client in combination with Elkey, CryptCard, and CompuSec™ or as autonomous software module to enable network encryption.

Universal Use
  • Secure Remote Access (SRA) solution for mobile systems
  • Encrypted LAN
  • Protection of Home-Office connections
  • Protected ISDN and modem connections when carrying IP traffic
IPCrypt Client is the best solution for transferring confidential information via the Internet.

Access Control
The encryption technology used in IPCrypt Client ensures that the user or the station is automatically authenticated when establishing a connection. This process is done through verifying the secret keys exchanged, saving customers the additional cost of adding an extra authentication mechanism. This also ensures that the processing of a user is much easier and faster. Nevertheless, if an additional authentication mechanism is required, IPCrypt Client can support RADIUS.

Connection Control
IPCrypt Client recognizes and controls all physical and logical network adapters in the system. IPCrypt Client is able to allow encrypted and/or unencrypted network connections. This feature can be automatically activated based on the adapter or the destination address of the IP packets. For example, a connection to one's corporate network would be encrypted, while the connection to surf the Internet would be plain. Many intelligent options are readily available for the user, ensuring easy operation of IPCrypt Client.

Flexible IP Addressing
The remote DHCP support feature of IPCrypt Client allows computers that receive a dynamic IP address from a dial-up service provider to participate in encrypted communication. The computer can receive its own internal IP address dynamically from the remote DHCP server of the IPCryptor. This advanced feature lets an organisation use its own address pool even on remote notebooks.

Compression
IPCrypt Client features a built-in mechanism that compresses IP packets. This option increase throughput when the end-user's connection speed to the Internet becomes the bottleneck of the connection. This is unlike the integrated compression of WAN adapters, such as ISDN cards, which cannot compress an encrypted packet.

Encryption
IPCrypt Client uses 128 bit extended DES, Triple DES or AES (optional) for IP encryption. IPCrypt Client automatically senses for a hardware encryption component installed on the system. This component, either an Elkey or aCryptCard, will automatically be used for encryption if found. When no such hardware is installed, IPCrypt Client uses a software encryption. The speed of the encryption is so fast that IPCrypt Client can easily be used on LANs with high data throughput.
Administration:

IPCrypt Client users and keys can be centrally managed for greater control. For example, users who have lost their tokens (USB-Token, smart card or CryptCardcan easily restore their keys from the GlobalAdmin
